Living Room / Snug Remodel

Our client had a lovely neutral living room/snug for us to work with, but the layout wasn't working for the room and our client didn't know how to make the long, semi-divided room work best.

We started with choosing a warmer neutral paint colour for the walls and updating the layout in the main living area by pushing the sofas back against the wall and adding two lounge chairs either side of the columns to create a formal sitting space. We then decided to make the second space more of a snug/relaxing area for the family and went for a large corner sofa to make the most of the room. To tie the two spaces together we used the same large area rugs in both rooms to give them a clear identity of space on their own while keeping everything cohesive.

Our client already had a pink sofa and cushions so we emphasised this colour throughout both spaces and added in a second complementary green colour to bring more colour and depth to the living room.

The main wall in the snug was large so my client wanted to add some pictures to fill the space. We decided to create a photo collage wall to make the snug area more cosy and fun, while also adding more colour. The carefully chosen prints really bring this space to life and make a lovely feature.

It was a pleasure to work with this client and we are both so pleased with the end result.
