Ground Floor Remodel

This home was completed renovated and extended to make the most of the beautiful plot it sat on and to modernise the interiors.

We started working on the kitchen which our clients wanted to have an industrial feel. When we started this project, the doors had been fitted at the back but not flooring or furniture had yet been decided so we had a blank canvas to work with. Our clients had chosen their countertop and had a rough idea of the kitchen style, so we helped them tie together all the finishes and found a complementing stone for their backsplash. We chose large neutral tiles for the floor to give that almost concrete look and painted the walls an off white to warm the space up. As the kitchen had copper highlights in it, we decided to bring this colour out into the rest of the room to add some colour throughout and to make it really pop against the neutral palette. We added some textured sofas in the seating area to soften the industrial look and put an area rug under the seating to zone out this space within the large open plan kitchen/dining/living.

We then moved onto the snug just off the kitchen. Our clients knew they wanted a media wall with panelling either side but weren't sure on the design. We decided to add panelling onto the media wall itself to add lots of texture and create something different to the norm. We then added large statement wall lights either side and a textured paint finish behind them.

Just off the snug, our clients had created a space that would be multifunctional and serve as a bar, games room and cinema room. To make this room stand out from the rest of the house which was neutral in colour we chose a lovely green colour for the walls, continued the same countertop from the kitchen into the bar area and came up with ideas for glass and drinks storage that was decorative and functional.

Throughout the rest of the house we worked on adding a few finishing touches. We found a statement sideboard for the hallway and decided on fluted panelling up the stairs to add some texture in the large space. We helped design the front of the house by bringing the first floor out to line up with the hallway below. This allowed our clients to create a statement piece from their glazing which gave the impression of double height entryway. We came up with lighting schemes throughout the house and offered our expertise throughout the home where our clients wanted help.

Our clients are so pleased with the interiors of their home and get complemented on it by their friends and family which we are so pleased to hear.
