We had the pleasure of working on a whole house renovation in Bridlington which was being turned from a family home into an Airbnb. The house had lovely Victorian character which was important to remain and emphasise, it simply needed a facelift to bring it back to life and make it fresh for guests staying.

The biggest alteration made to the home was adding a second bathroom on the top floor to make guest stays more comfortable. We took floor space from the largest bedroom on the top floor to create the bathroom and added all new fixtures and fittings that can be used by both top floor bedrooms. The main bathroom also had all new fixtures and fittings installed, as well as a new freestanding traditional bath to suit the period of the house.

In the living room and master bedroom we added window seats to the bays to create more seating for guests and to allow them to see the sea from the home. In the living room we added storage below the seat to provide space for books and games to be enjoyed and added soft cushions to top both.

We installed new LVT herringbone flooring on the ground floor, replacing the carpet that was throughout, to make the space more durable, easy to clean, and fresher for guests staying at the Airbnb.

We repainted and redecorated all rooms in coastal, warm colours to tie back to the area and chose furniture that was durable, easily cleaned and comfortable. All details, such as lighting, cushions, bedding, furniture, mirrors, was selected and installed by us.

There has been great feedback on the Airbnb so far and we hope many more guests get to enjoy this newly renovated Victorian home in Bridlington.
